My approach to guitar playing is a multifaceted and constantly evolving one,yet I try to remain true to my own personal style which has its roots in blues, jazz, funk as well as bluegrass, Irish traditional and other folk styles.
I have a very adaptable style and ear, two things which have always aided me on my musical journey.
In my years I have played with some of Ireland's best musicians in many different acts.
I have been a resident in the UAE since September 2012 and in that time I have played with a multitude of singers, bands and musicians in pop, jazz and rock.
Working as a freelance musician I currently play residencies at Lucky Voice Mcgettigan's bars , Jumeirah Zabeel Saray on the palm. I also perform regularly for the Fridge ,Sole, GrooveMaster, Bareface and Stamp agencies on various corporate events in everything from pop acts to jazz bands. I am also a member of the Gari Deegan quartet , Game Over and New Orleans jazz band.
I also have a fully functional HD Universal Audio home recording studio where I can record for any occasion. If you are interested in these services please get in touch.
My teaching career has also flourished, teaching for GEMS international schools in Dubai , Al Raha International school in Abu Dhabi and Deira International school, but also helping more advanced players to achieve a higher standard of playing. I am a registered guitar teacher with the R.G.T. (registry of guitar tutors) in London and can provide exam training in everything from preliminary grades to London College of music Diplomas accredited by the University of West London.
